Weirdness

I just have a short one today. Yesterday and today, the weather has been gorgeous, and I don’t want to waste it in front of a computer!

I know that most of you record TV and skip commercials, so I can’t ask for affirmation here, but I need reassurance that I’m not nuts. On Tuesday night, we were watching TV. When the commercials came on, my husband went to the kitchen. The ad was the ‘Jake from State Farm’ one; however, in the middle of it, the screen went gray and wording appeared. It was something about earthlings and 5-15-15. Then the commercial came back on. I called in to my husband to tell him, and, of course, he thinks I’m crazy. Last night, I told my boys, and they, too, just looked at each other with the tacit agreement, “She’s nuts.”

I Googled the date and saw that there is a sci-fi movie coming out on that day. I also read that the Mayan calendar again says it’s the end of the world. So, maybe these could have been the reason. Yet, I still haven’t read anything about the interruption of the commercial. Nor have I heard anyone else talking/writing about it. But I swear I saw it.

So is the start of madness? Are aliens invading my mind? Is there really any explanation. Unfortunately, I’ve been watching CSI: Cyber, and I’m filled with dread about the many forces of online hackers. Maybe it really was a cyber hack that I experienced. Oh, here come the men in the white jackets…

Peace,

Nut Case Muff

  2. Wow! I have to say that the Jake from State Farm is one of the few commercials I actually listen to because I still find it amusing, but I have never had it interrupted by the message you described. That is downright spooky!

    1. Spooky? I guess. But since the aliens haven't kidnapped me to the mother ship, I guess I'm all right!

  4. Wait a minute. Unless you have a typo, isn't your mysterious message referring to the year 2005, and not 2015? If the former, it can't be referring to the end of the world.

Hee, hee, I got sucked in. :))

    1. We have that feature, too, but at the time I didn't think of doing it. Yes, it did get chilly -- even with all the sun. The weekend should be in the 70s -- Yay!!

    supportive than most:
