The whole tax thing just got me frustrated as I moved along. I tried to show my husband that when I asked for a number or box, they were located right on the W2. I couldn’t believe that this guy has degrees in business AND accounting, but I’M THE ONE EXPLAINING!!
I finally thought it was over, and I clicked the finish button, and the screen showed we owed some ridiculous amount. My husband went berserk, and I had to get him away from me, while I went back to each screen to recheck my figures. I finally located my error! I had eliminated the last two figures when I entered a ‘tax paid’ section.
I quickly corrected it, and went back to the final page which showed a totally different outcome. My husband was appeased, the forms were e-filed, and I had a splitting headache. I swore that was the last time I’d do it. Before next year, he will have to learn both computer use and tax filing!
So, after two hours, some frazzled nerves, and apologies made, I could move onto my regular Sunday computer activity. I decided to set up a gmail account to use with my blog. Sounds simple, right? Well, I ended up erasing [almost] all my old blog information. No blogroll, no dashboard, and no way to sign in under my old email address. Again, I panicked, and thought it was all hopeless. I even tried emailing the tech support at Google. Then, I closed the gmail account, and by some unknown step I took, I got my dashboard and all else returned! That took an hour this morning, and I was out of time to complete a full post; thus, the two-parter. (And FYI, Google did respond. Think I should tell them I worked it out alone?)
Now, I have some time to mosey around on here, so I’ll catch up with everyone’s goings-on. I love computers, but man can they get me frustrated sometimes!
Peace,
Muff

We call them 'confusers'. My goodness my computer has become my life line. My recipes are on it. I do banking on it. I shop on it. And all my beloved pictures are stored on it. Wow, I wouldn't know where to start if someone took my magical laptop away!!! When and how did this all happen?
Just a warning, Muffy... back up everything! I never thought I would lose anything, either, but that's just what happened last summer! Be afraid, be very afraid!!
Peace,
Muff
I say it is a whole conspiracy thing with Bill Gates as the Grand Poo-Bah...the all knowing being who holds all answers in his man-purse!
Breathe deep and move on.
